Michael J. Nilsen, DPT

I am a physical therapist who specializes in treating patients with orthopedic conditions.

I have been a physical therapist for nine years, specializing in the treatment of orthopedic conditions. I was drawn to physical therapy after suffering many running injuries during track and cross country in high school. Working through these injuries, I gained an appreciation for the rehab process. This has helped me to be more understanding of the frustrations and difficulty patients experience while rehabilitating from an injury. Working together with my patients, the physical therapy plan is centered around personal goals to help people return to their previous activities. I am originally from New Jersey and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland. After that I attended Drexel University in Philadelphia for physical therapy school and completed my residency there as well. After completing my training, I was drawn to Utah by the convenient access to the outdoors. When not working I spend my time outside skiing, biking, and trail running with my wife Kerry and our dog Neo.
