Michael Johnson DO, MPH, is a physician with dual board certification in preventive medicine as well as undersea and hyperbaric medicine. He trained in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he developed a passion for wound care through his experience with disaster and humanitarian medicine.

Dr. Johnson has been able to combine a love of the outdoors with his call to medicine as a lifetime member of the Wilderness Medical Society and has trained in medical management in austere environments. As well as exposure to mountain and backcountry medicine, he has completed training in aviation medicine from the Federal Aviation Administration. He is a fellow in the Academy of Wilderness Medicine and the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists. Dr. Johnson cares for a variety of wounds such as diabetic skin ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, venous ulcers, arterial ulcers, pressure injuries, and wounds caused from traumatic injuries.

In his spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his family, board games, escaping into nature and eating good food.
