Michael Chamberlain, MD

Michael Chamberlain, MD, is a neurologist at Intermountain Health's McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He believes each patient should be in charge of their own care, and his role is to listen, advise, and support them in improving their quality of life. He's an empathetic listener, and he makes his patients' goals his priorities.

Dr. Chamberlain has a special interest and subspecialty training in neuromuscular diseases. These are conditions that affect the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord, and the muscles. They include myasthenia gravis, neuropathy, AIDP/CIDP, ALS, and myopathy. He also performs electromyograms (EMGs). This test helps diagnose neuromuscular diseases and structural conditions such as radiculopathy and plexopathy. He also cares for patients with other neurologic conditions, including headache, stroke, movement disorders, dementia, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis (MS).

He especially enjoys treating conditions like myasthenia gravis, CIDP, and headaches, where treatment can change a patient's life. He also finds meaning in helping people with progressive neurodegenerative diseases improve their quality of life as much as possible.

Dr. Chamberlain grew up in Eagle, Idaho. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, playing tennis and pickleball, and cooking exotic foods with his wife, family, and friends.
