Mercedes L Mortensen, NP

Mercedes Mortensen is a certified nurse practitioner who specializes in anticoagulation at Intermountain Health's Utah Valley Pulmonary Clinic. She supports patients in Provo, Orem, Vineyard, and throughout Utah County, focusing on oncology, cardiology, geriatrics, and gastroenterology.

Mercedes is committed to patient-centered care and enjoys tackling complex cases that challenge her critical thinking and knowledge of physiology to provide the highest level of care. Her philosophy of care is to treat each patient as if they were her own family member, ensuring a compassionate, individualized approach that prioritizes patient education and values.

Outside the clinic, the Salt Lake City native loves traveling, hiking, camping, swimming, and paddleboarding. She and her family especially appreciate European travel, drawn to its rich history and culture. She also enjoys learning languages and continues to improve her German.
