Melissa R. Gunner, DPT

Melissa Gunner is a physical therapist at Intermountain Health's Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation - Salt Lake City Clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports patients in Salt Lake City, North Salt Lake, and surrounding communities practicing orthopedics with a specialization in sports rehabilitation.

With nearly six years of experience, Melissa found her way into the field after an overuse injury in high school brought her into a physical therapy office, where she discovered the power of using exercise as medicine. Having navigated injuries of her own, she understands the mental toll that pain and inactivity can take, and she is passionate about helping patients get back to doing what they love. She especially enjoys treating lower extremity injuries.

Melissa recently moved to Utah from the central coast of California to be closer to family and the mountains. When she is not working, she enjoys everything outdoors, including skiing, trail running, and backpacking, as well as cooking and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
