Melanie A. Connell, CNM

Melanie Connell is a certified nurse midwife (CNM) at Intermountain Health’s Alta View Clinic – Women’s Health in Sandy, Utah, supporting patients in Sandy, Murray, South Jordan, Draper, and surrounding communities. Melanie believes in the power, strength, and autonomy of birthing individuals and their families —recognizing the importance of advocacy and support during pregnancy, birth, and the lifespan.

During her time at Layton Hospital, her passion for low-intervention birth led her to launch the Simply Birth Program. She considers herself a strong advocate for physiological birth and helping her patients’ desired pregnancy plans move forward. Melanie listens and cares and will do her best to provide compassionate and evidence-based care during pregnancy, labor, birth, and in gynecology needs.

Melanie considers herself a military brat and has lived all over the United States and Europe. She enjoys living in Utah and helping her patients live their healthiest lives. Melanie is the proud mother of three children who live all over the country and grandma to two. When she’s not at work or with family, she loves reading, renovating her home, hiking, biking, and being outside.
