Megan Bolt, NP

Megan Bolt, DNP, APRN, NNP‑BC, is a neonatal nurse practitioner who specializes in caring for newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Intermountain Health’s Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports newborn patients admitted to the NICU, with a focus on family‑centered care and parental education, care of extremely low‑birth‑weight infants, neonatal hemodynamics and perfusion management, and respiratory management in fragile newborns. She enjoys cases that challenge her to think critically and continue learning, and she approaches each situation with both clinical skill and heartfelt compassion. Megan wants families to know that their baby’s safety and comfort always come first, and that she will advocate fiercely for her patients every step of the way.

Megan treats a wide range of neonatal conditions, including prematurity and low‑birth‑weight complications, respiratory distress and chronic lung disease, sepsis and serious infections, congenital anomalies, and neurologic and perfusion concerns. She regularly performs procedures such as intubation, ventricular reservoir taps, chest tube placement, central line placement, and lumbar punctures

As a provider, Megan is dedicated to providing evidence‑based, compassionate care that honors the fragility of each infant and the vital role of their family. Her approach centers on clear communication, advocacy, and respect for parents as essential partners in their baby’s care.

Originally from Utah, Megan also lived in Florida and England. Outside of work, she is a mom to three young kids and enjoys spending time with her husband, hiking with her two dogs, Athena the Great Dane and Sammy the Golden Retriever, traveling anywhere with a beach, and making memories at Disneyland.
