Dr. Max Epstein grew up on the East Coast in a small beach town in New Jersey, where he developed a passion for surfing, skiing, and the outdoors.
His journey through medical training and research interest in regenerative approaches to musculoskeletal care eventually led him to Harvard Medical School. There, he practiced at Massachusetts General Hospital before deciding to return to Salt Lake City.
Dr. Epstein's care philosophy is rooted in empathy, focusing on reducing fear, promoting movement as medicine, and effectively addressing modifiable lifestyle factors to treat complex spine and musculoskeletal conditions.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Epstein enjoys skiing, trail running, playing guitar, and taking in live music.

With what I told him was my issues he seemed to know right away how to fix it. He got in contact with my surgeon on my neck fusion to coordinate the best strategy to help me feel better. It’s been four days since my injection and I feel 90% better. He’s amazing. Great personality resembles Matthew McConaughey. He’s a great doctor.
