Dr. Matthew Mackay is a psychologist in Intermountain Health's Mental Health Integration (MHI) program. He works within the medical setting to provide mental health therapy and consultation alongside your established primary care provider or specialist. MHI treatment is a short-term approach to help manage mental health symptoms that impact quality of life. During treatment, the clinic team communicates with each other to make sure you and your family are getting the care they need. If additional support is needed at the end of treatment with this provider, we will assist with a referral to a long-term mental health provider. Dr. Mackay holds a Doctor of Psychology degree from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, which he earned in 2007. After several years of practice in Southern California, he and his family relocated to St. George, Utah, in 2014, where he has continued to make significant contributions to community health.
