Matthew N. Lamont, MD

Matthew "Matt" Lamont, MD, is a hospitalist at Intermountain Health's Utah Valley Hospital, and Intermountain Medical Center. As a hospitalist, Dr. Lamont cares for patients throughout their hospital stay. He coordinates treatment, manages medications, and works with specialists, nurses, and patients’ primary care providers to keep their care connected. He's in the hospital every day — listening, answering questions, and making sure patients understand their plan of care from admission through discharge.

Dr. Lamont believes in treating each patient as if they were his own family member. Having had family members who required advanced medical care, he has seen both excellent healthcare and areas where care could be better. He keeps that experience in mind with every patient, offering the same empathy and compassion he would hope his own family would receive.
