About Matthew M. Bingham
About The Provider
"Dr. Matthew Bingham is a short-term behavioral health consultant for Intermountain Health's Mental Health Integration (MHI) program. He works within the medical setting to provide mental health services alongside your established primary care physician or specialist. MHI treatment is a short-term approach to help you manage mental health symptoms that may be impacting your quality of life. You will meet for up to 3-6 sessions. He sees both pediatric and adult patients with a variety of mental health concerns. He will review a variety of treatment options to help with your mental health including medication, behavioral modification, goal setting, counseling, self-care, nutrition, mindfulness, exercise and sleep. Patients who wish to see Dr. Bingham must be referred by a primary care provider at one of the clinics where Dr. Bingham works. During treatment, the clinic team communicates with each other to make sure you're getting the care you need. If you need additional support at the end of your treatment with this provider, we will assist with a referral to a long-term mental health provider. If you need to meet with a psychiatrist but do not have a primary care provider at one of Dr. Bingham’s clinics, or if you expect to need behavioral health care longer than 3-6 months, please discuss other options with your primary care provider or call Intermountain Health’s Behavioral Health Navigation Service at 833-442-2211 for help scheduling with other services. Dr. Bingham is not seeing patients as a primary care provider.

Dr. Bingham shows care and compassion and is so encouraging. I did not feel rushed and I know that I am part of my treatment plan. Dr. Bingham encourages independant research and open dialog. It is so nice to not feel like I'm being given a pill to go away and hope that makes everything better. He supports my desire for whole-person care. And I feel like we're working together towards a solution and not bandaging a problem.
