Matthew J Hegewald, MD

Matthew Hegewald, MD is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. He is a Professor of Medicine at Intermountain Health and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah. Dr. Hegewald is also Medical Director of the Pulmonary Function and Blood Gas Laboratory at Intermountain Medical Center.

Dr. Hegewald's responsibilities include practicing general pulmonary and critical care medicine, teaching medical students, residents and fellows, conducting research with a focus on lung function testing topics, and administrative functions. His clinical and research interests involve lung function and clinical exercise testing, as well as obstructive lung disease.
