About Matthew Goettsch

About The Provider

Matthew Goettsch, MD, is a board-certified vascular surgeon serving patients in Grand Junction and throughout the Western Slope. He is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered vascular care with a strong emphasis on partnership and trust.

Dr. Goettsch’s clinical interests focus on the diagnosis and treatment of lower extremity arterial and venous disease. He has always been drawn to vascular surgery because of the wide variety of cases it offers and the diverse treatment methods available to positively impact patients’ lives. From medical management to minimally invasive endovascular procedures and open surgical techniques, he values tailoring care to each individual’s needs.

He believes vascular surgery is a team effort—one built on collaboration between physician and patient. Dr. Goettsch strives to treat each patient like family, partnering with them to develop treatment plans that align with their goals and lead to the best possible outcomes. Known for his quiet and easygoing nature, he takes time to ensure patients feel heard and supported, encouraging them to be active participants in their care.

Outside of work, Dr. Goettsch enjoys spending time with his wife and twin teenage daughters. He loves to read and, whenever he can, enjoys getting out on the golf course to work on his game.
