Martha (Martie) S. Nightingale, CNM

Martha “Martie” Nightingale is a certified nurse midwife (CNM) at Intermountain Health’s Nurse Midwives Clinic – OB/GYN in Murray Utah, and LDS Nurse Midwives in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports patients in the Salt Lake Valley providing compassionate, comprehensive care in pregnancy and prenatal health, menopause and midlife wellness, complex gynecology, and procedures such as colposcopy. Martie brings more than 20 years of experience caring for women across the lifespan, with an approach centered on prevention, education, and partnership in care decisions.

Martie began her nursing journey with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2004 and went on to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2009. She is certified as a menopause practitioner through The Menopause Society and holds perinatal mental health certification through Postpartum Support International, reflecting her commitment to whole‑person, evidence-based care.

Wellness has always been a meaningful part of Martie’s life. She adopted a whole-food, plant-based vegan lifestyle during college and continued this approach through both of her pregnancies, later raising her children on a plant-based diet. She enjoys supporting patients with lifestyle choices in an encouraging, non‑judgmental way.

When she’s not caring for patients, Martie spends much of her time outdoors. She loves being in the mountains, cycling, running, practicing yoga, and meditating—activities that mirror her holistic, balanced approach to health and well‑being.
