About The Provider
Born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, Dr. Szewczyk went to college at Illinois Wesleyan University, a small liberal arts school in Bloomington, Illinois with the intention of pursuing a career in medicine. In an effort to balance her love of science with her creative side, she double majored in biology and studio art. During her college years, Dr. Szewczyk earned her EMT license and fell in love with helping others through medicine. Directly after graduating, she went back to her hometown where she attended medical school at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Wanting to experience other parts of the country, Dr. Szewczyk completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson before moving to Colorado. Her clinical interests are preventive health and managing complex patients with multiple disease processes.

When not working, Dr. Szewczyk enjoys spending time with family, exploring the amazing hiking trails Colorado has to offer, playing soccer with friends and painting landscapes.

As a retired RN, with the last 21 years in patient safety & risk mgmt., I found Dr. Szewczyk to be an excellent physician - astute listener, thorough, compassionate with great interactive communication and sound decision making skills.
