About The Provider
Mark Hansen, MD is a general surgeon at Intermountain Health’s Budge Clinic – General Surgery in Logan, Utah. He supports patients in Cache Valley, Rich County, Box Elder County, southeastern Idaho, and surrounding communities, performing procedures that help treat gallbladder disease, hernias, appendicitis, colon cancer, breast cancer, and more. He enjoys the broad spectrum of surgical cases within the general surgery specialty, finding satisfaction in the variety and complexity of procedures he encounters.
With nearly three decades of caring for surgical patients, Dr. Hansen is dedicated to providing the same type of care to his patients that he would give to his own family members. By treating each patient with the same respect, empathy, and thoroughness, Dr. Hansen takes the time to listen to each patient’s concerns, clearly explaining their options, so they feel supported before, during, and after surgery.
Dr. Hansen was born and raised in Utah, and has spent time living in South Carolina, Tennessee, and South American (Uruguay). Outside the clinic he enjoys spending time with his wife, children and growing numbers of grandchildren. He loves spending time outdoors hiking, horseback riding, working in the yard, travelling, visiting National Parks.

He was very nice and didn't use big medical terms to explain things. He talked to me using smaller terms and explained them if I wasn't understanding. It didn't feel like he thought I was stupid or paranoid with anything I asked him and any of my fears
