About The Provider
Before joining Intermountain Health, Dr. Mark Thiele worked with patients in Somalia. He enjoys providing optimum medical care and seeing patients reach their top medical health, especially those with diabetes and respiratory issues.
Serving as a Navy Hospital Corpsman inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. He went on to be an LPN, a phlebotomist, and a project manager for a clinical research laboratory, as well as a family practice physician at Baptist Medical Group in Pensacola, Florida, and working with the VA in North Las Vegas.
Dr. Thiele earned his MD from St. Christopher Iba Mar Diop School of Medicine in Dakar, Senegal, and has studied at the University of St. Eustatius School of Medicine in the Netherlands and holds a BA from Excelsior College in Albany, New York. He did his residency in family practice at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital in New Jersey where he was honored as Intern of the Year and served as chief resident for the family medicine residency program. Dr. Thiele is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
