Mark Bennet is a physician assistant, specializing in general surgery at Intermountain Health’s Northern Utah Surgeons at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. While in high school, Dr. Bennett felt the call to serve in the military and served as a medic in the Special Forces as a Green Beret. After serving several tours in the Middle East and medical missions around the world, Dr. Bennett continued his medical education to become a physician assistant. He credits his 11 years of leading and training fellow soldiers in medical care and serving those communities, in developing his desire to serve and assist his patients through their healing process. 

Outside the clinic, Mark loves being outdoors, spending time with his family, and cheering on the Utah Jazz!

    I wish they had told me what complications I had during the operation. Nobody told me. Before going into surgery, they told me it was something minor and didn't mention that they would put in a mesh or a drain. I only realized it when they discharged me, and I didn't understand why I had a drain if they supposedly said the operation was quick and I didn't need a mesh. I only found out 18 days later, at the post-operative appointment, that they had put in a mesh. Nobody told me before.

    Mark was very professional and helpful when it can to the next steps. He wasnt pushing surgery like it was my only option and was very knowledgeable about my symptoms.
