Maria Wolanin, MD

Originally from Poland, Dr. Wolanin moved to Colorado at an early age and was raised here. She received an undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder. She attended the American University of Antigua for medical school. She then spent two years in clinical rotations all over the east coast of the United States. Dr. Wolanin completed an intern year of general surgery New York City at Mount Sinai and a general surgery residency with Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. After residency, Dr. Wolanin spent five years as a general surgeon in North Platte, Nebraska.She is dually board-certified in general surgery and obesity medicine. Her clinical interests include hernia surgeries, breast cancer surgeries and endoscopies.

When not working, Dr. Wolanin enjoys traveling, reading books, listening to podcasts, puzzles, tennis, snowboarding and hiking.
