Dr. Mari Freedberg is a dedicated trauma surgeon with a passion for trauma laparotomies. She thrives on the discovery process of identifying injuries and the problem-solving it takes to address them. Dr. Freedberg finds deep fulfillment in being there for patients during their most critical moments, guiding them through what is often an incredibly stressful experience.
Dr. Freedberg has diverse clinical interests, including violence intervention programs, global surgery, REBOA, and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Her international experience in Uganda, Zambia, and South Africa has deepened his understanding of how illness impacts communities differently.
She has published peer-reviewed studies on rib fracture management, tube thoracostomies, and lower extremity vascular injuries. As a Course Director for the ATLS program, Dr. Freedberg is dedicated to standardizing trauma care and teaching the stabilization of trauma patients both in the U.S. and globally.
