Marcella Israel Rocha, MD

Marcella Israel Rocha, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Intermountain Health's Wasatch OB/GYN in Ogden, Utah. She supports patients in Ogden, South Weber, North Ogden, and surround communities dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women at every stage of life. Her clinical interests include high-risk pregnancies, PCOS, contraception and family planning, preventive women's healthcare, and menopause. She especially loves welcoming new babies into the world and enjoys performing minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, including laparoscopic hysterectomies and ovarian cystectomies

In addition to English, Dr. Israel Rocha is fluent in Portuguese (her primary language) and Spanish, and speaks intermediate French, allowing her to care for patients from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Before her work in the United States, she spent three years participating in humanitarian medical missions with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), providing care in Afghanistan, Nigeria, South Sudan, and Chad—experiences that deepened her commitment to serving diverse patient populations with compassion.

As a provider, Dr. Israel Rocha wants to meet her patients where they are and empower them to make the best medical decisions for themselves. She believes that great healthcare begins with listening. She strives to create a supportive, respectful environment where patients feel heard, informed, and empowered to participate in decisions about their care. Her goal is to build lasting relationships based on trust, compassion, and evidence-based medicine.

Originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Dr. Israel Rocha enjoys spending time with her family, especially her three children and two dogs. She loves being outdoors and values the opportunities of staying active and connecting with loved ones.
