About The Provider

Maelee Rivera is a certified nurse practitioner in Neonatology at Intermountain Health's Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, where she provides neonatal resuscitation, critical care, and surgical support to patients and families in the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas. Maelee is deeply committed to caring for infants, and considers it a privilege to advocate for their well-being. She is passionate about delivering exceptional care and strives to improve outcomes through advocacy and dedication.

Maelee believes that partnering with families is essential. She ensures that they are actively involved in the care team and decision-making process for their infant. She is dedicated to creating a collaborative environment where families feel empowered and supported.

Originally from a small town in Idaho, Maelee moved to Utah to pursue her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Utah. After graduating, she began her career as a NICU nurse at Primary Children's Hospital, where her love for caring for infants grew.
