Maelee Rivera, NP

Maelee Rivera is a certified nurse practitioner in Neonatology at Intermountain Health's Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, where she provides neonatal resuscitation, critical care, and surgical support to patients and families in the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas. Her expertise includes peripheral arterial line placement, endotracheal intubation, and thoracentesis. Maelee is deeply committed to caring for infants, and considers it a privilege to advocate for their well-being. She is passionate about delivering exceptional care and strives to improve outcomes through advocacy and dedication.

Originally from a small town in Idaho, Maelee moved to Utah to pursue her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Utah. After graduating, she began her career as a NICU nurse at Primary Children's Hospital, where her love for caring for infants grew. Her passion for helping newborns ultimately led her to return to school to earn her doctorate and become a nurse practitioner, allowing her to expand her knowledge and continue making a difference in the lives of infants and their families.
