About Madelyn-HoangDiem Mai

About The Provider

Madelyn-HoangDiem “Maddie” Mai is a licensed clinical social worker with Intermountain Health in Las Vegas. She works with children, BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and older adults. Maddie integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and holistic mental health practices to support clients in healing and growth. She is fluent in both Vietnamese and English and is passionate about bridging cultural and linguistic gaps in mental health services.

Maddie has a Master of Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, MA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Born and raised in Vietnam, she immigrated to the United States at the age of 10. She was raised by immigrant parents—an experience that deeply informs her culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach to care.

Her professional experience includes serving as First Assistant Director at a psychiatric facility, where Maddie developed a comprehensive training manual for practicum students and new employees.

Outside of her clinical work, Maddie enjoys exploring new cuisines, photography, and spending time in spiritual reflection.
