M. Nathan Starr, DO

Nathan Starr, DO, is a hospitalist at Intermountain Health's Alta View Hospital, LDS Hospital, Riverton Hospital, and Intermountain Medical Center. As a hospitalist, Dr. Starr cares for patients throughout their hospital stay. He coordinates treatment, manages medications, and works with specialists, nurses, and patients’ primary care providers to keep their care connected. He's in the hospital every day — listening, answering questions, and making sure patients understand their plan of care from admission through discharge.  

As a provider, Dr. Starr believes no two patients are the same, and he treats each person as an individual rather than a diagnosis. He takes time to listen and learn about each patient's unique situation, including their health history, concerns, and what matters most to them. With that understanding, he builds a care plan made just for them, so every patient feels known, cared for, and confident in the path ahead.
