Laura Christine Kennedy, MD

Dr. Laura Kennedy is a dual board-certified physician in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. A Denver native, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Middlebury College and her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Kennedy completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado and went on to complete her Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship through the St. Joseph Hospital/Kaiser Permanente program.

She is deeply committed to guiding patients and their loved ones through some of life’s most difficult decisions. She finds the most meaning in cases where individuals are grappling with which medical path is right for them. By taking the time to truly understand each patient’s values and providing clear, compassionate information about possible outcomes, Dr. Kennedy helps patients and families move forward with confidence and peace.

Dr. Kennedy’s clinical interests include expanding access to high-quality palliative care for all individuals facing life-limiting illnesses, regardless of their race, language, or socioeconomic status. She brings empathy, clarity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey to every aspect of her work.

When not working with patients, Dr. Kennedy enjoys being active outdoors, singing, reading, and spending time with her husband and children.
