About Kimberly Hildner-Murphy
About The Provider
Kimberly Hildner-Murphy, MD, FACOG, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of North Carolina – Southeast Area Health Education Center in Wilmington. A board-certified OB/Gyn and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Hildner-Murphy provides full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic care for patients at all stages of life.
Dr. Hildner-Murphy’s clinical interests include preconception health, fertility and infertility evaluation and management, prenatal care, breastfeeding support, contraception, sexual health, preventive health screenings, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, menopause care, and labor and delivery. She enjoys helping patients better understand their reproductive anatomy and feel informed and confident as they make decisions about their health and family planning.
Her philosophy of care centers on partnership, prevention, and helping patients feel informed and confident about their health decisions.
“I believe that focusing on prevention and optimizing health early can help avoid more complex problems later and support long-term wellness through every stage of life. I see my role as both a physician and a coach, offering evidence-based guidance while working together in a shared decision-making approach that reflects each patient’s goals and priorities. My goal is for patients to feel heard, supported, and cared for as we build a lasting relationship over time.”
Some of the visits Dr. Hildner-Murphy enjoys most are those when patients feel proud and empowered by the path they have chosen to achieve their goals. That may be a new OB visit after a difficult fertility journey or a post-operative visit following treatment for a long history of pelvic pain or bleeding. One of the most meaningful parts of her work is building long-term relationships with patients — caring for them in the office, supporting them through pregnancy and delivery, and continuing to partner with them as their health needs change over time.
Dr. Hildner-Murphy especially enjoys the balance of clinical care and surgery — including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and robotic procedures — as well as the excitement and teamwork of caring for families during labor and delivery.
Outside of work, Dr. Hildner-Murphy’s life is full and busy with her loving husband, two young children — a wild little boy and a sweet little girl — and their dog, Ron Weasley, who keep her entertained at home. She is very close to her three sisters, who are among her best friends. She enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors in Colorado, participating in a monthly book club with friends, visiting local farmers markets on weekends, and traveling back to Florida for family and nature whenever she can.
