Kimberly Franke, MD

Kimberly Franke, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Butte Clinic – Orthopedics, dedicated to helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy most. With expertise in a wide range of orthopedic conditions and procedures, Dr. Franke provides comprehensive care for fracture management, shoulder and elbow injuries and disorders, tendon and ligament reconstruction, and joint replacement surgery.

Her clinical interests include fracture care; shoulder and elbow conditions, including rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, and dislocations; tendon and ligament reconstruction; joint replacement surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee; and treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger. Dr. Franke especially enjoys performing shoulder replacements and rotator cuff repairs to help patients restore function and improve quality of life.

Dr. Franke believes the most rewarding aspect of orthopedic surgery is seeing patients return to the activities they love. As an outdoor enthusiast, she understands the importance of staying active and is committed to providing personalized care that helps patients move with confidence. Her approach emphasizes listening carefully to patients and referring providers, followed by partnering in a shared decision-making process guided by her orthopedic expertise, compassion, and empathy.

A native Montanan, Dr. Franke was born in Billings, Montana, and moved to Bozeman during high school. Outside the clinic and operating room, she enjoys exploring Montana’s outdoors through mountain biking, fly fishing, ice climbing, and mountaineering. Her passion for adventure and active living fuels her commitment to helping patients return to the pursuits they love.
