Kimball A. Hafen, NP

Kimball Hafen is a nurse practitioner specializing in Cardiology Heart Failure at Intermountain Health's Southwest Cardiology in the Heart Failure Clinic. She supports patients and their families in St. George, Ivins, Hurricane, Washington, and surrounding communities, assessing the health status of patients, prescribing treatments, educating patients on their conditions, and collaborating with her team on the next steps for patients. Kimball values a holistic approach, integrating physical, mental, and social well-being into care. She is committed to evidence-based practice and realistic lifestyle modifications. 

Kimball has been immersed in cardiology since 2018, starting her journey as a bedside RN on the CVU floor. With this experience in the ICU and ED, she developed a passion for tackling complex cardiac conditions. Kimball is passionate about hemodynamics, Myocarditis, Hypertrophic and Dilative Cardiomyopathy, Hypertensive Heart Disease, Amyloid, and Peripartum Cardiomyopathy. 

Outside the clinic, the Indiana native enjoys adventuring with her daughters and life partner. She is also a lover of food, the arts, and music. Recommendations for books, restaurants, or experiences are always welcome!
