Kellyn Maves, MD

Kellyn Maves, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist who strives to create a space where patients feel heard, respected, and supported, especially when discussing sensitive concerns. Her goal is to provide clear, evidence-based information so she and her patients can work together to make thoughtful, individualized decisions about their care.

A Salt Lake City native, Dr. Maves earned her undergraduate degree in neuroscience and behavior from Wesleyan University before completing medical school and her residency at the University of Utah School of Medicine and the University of Utah. She is board eligible with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with certification expected in April 2028.

Her clinical interests include family planning, general obstetrics, gender-affirming care, patient education, healthcare for underserved populations, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She also performs office-based procedures such as hysteroscopy, dilation and curettage (D&C), and laparoscopic hysterectomy, as well as select urogynecologic procedures, including midurethral sling placement for stress urinary incontinence.

Patients can expect clear communication, collaborative care, and a nonjudgmental space to discuss their concerns. Dr. Maves wants every patient to leave their visit feeling empowered and with a clear understanding of their health.

Outside of work, Dr. Maves loves spending time outdoors — hiking, mushroom hunting, mountain biking, gardening, and climbing. She is also a proud plant mom (around 50 and counting!), enjoys traveling, and looks forward to potlucks and game nights with friends and family.
