About
About The Provider
Keegan Plowman, MD, is a dual board-certified physician specializing in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at Downtown Clinic Sleep & Respiratory Care in Billings. He is passionate about caring for patients with complex respiratory and critical illnesses and has particular expertise in managing shock, severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction, and other life-threatening conditions. He also has a special interest in mechanical circulatory support and advanced therapies to help patients through their most challenging health crises.
Dr. Plowman believes that medicine rests on a foundation of trust among the provider, the patient, and the patient's loved ones. He approaches every patient relationship as a partnership, recognizing that the best decisions are made when all members of the care team collaborate with a shared focus on the patient's goals and wishes.
Through open communication and shared decision-making, he strives to empower patients to make informed decisions about their care. This includes taking the time to explain all available treatment options, along with their potential risks and benefits, so patients can confidently choose the path that best aligns with their values and priorities.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Plowman stays active through exercise, kettlebell training, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing. He is also an avid woodworker who enjoys creating and building with his hands. A lifelong musician, he plays several instruments and values the creativity and discipline music brings to his life. When he's not caring for patients, he's often reading, writing, or working on his next project in the workshop.
