I understand her hesitancy to perform such a permanent procedure. I wasn’t about to sit there and argue with her on why she should perform a surgery she wasn’t comfortable with. What I found unacceptable was her lack of empathy and complete disregard of my needs and my autonomy. There was very little effort to help me find the care I needed, and I was pushed to go against a decision I have wanted for my own body for over a decade. Had she provided me with more options that weren’t “wait and maybe you’ll change your mind,” I wouldn’t have felt as scathed by her. She didn’t give me any time to compose myself before ushering me out in front of everyone in the waiting room. There was no empathy, no understanding.

She is extremely caring, made sure I understood, and the most knowledgeable on the subject of menopausal health if any Dr I’ve ever been to. She is fantastic. I feel like I won the lottery finding her.
