About The Provider
Katherine "Katia" Erickson, MD, is a dermatologist at Intermountain Health's West Valley Clinic in West Valley City, Utah. She supports patients in West Valley, Taylorsville, South Salt Lake, and surrounding communities. She particularly enjoys treating conditions like acne and eczema, where an artful, personalized approach to care can lead to meaningful improvements in a patient's quality of life.
Dr. Erickson believes the best care happens when she and her patients truly understand each other. She takes the time to get to know each patient as a whole—not just their condition—so they can choose the best treatment together. Coming from a family of teachers, she is passionate about providing personalized education and counseling that empowers patients to make informed decisions about their health.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Erickson enjoys portrait sculpture and painting, sewing and tailoring clothing, learning Spanish, and trying new desserts with her husband and family.
