About The Provider

Kate Minick, PT, DPT, PhD is an Associate Professor and Director of Research for Rehabilitation Services at Intermountain Health. Dr. Minick focuses on the rehabilitation of individuals with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including chronic low back pain, neck pain, joint disorders, and post-surgical recovery. She is passionate about helping people reduce pain, restore function, and improve their quality of life through individualized, patient-centered care. Dr. Minick’s goal is to help individuals return to the activities, work, and lifestyles that are most meaningful to them while promoting lifelong health and physical function and empowering them with long-term self-management.

In her research, Dr. Minick is working toward improving the delivery of evidence-based rehabilitation care for individuals with musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and mobility limitations. She is particularly interested in developing and evaluating innovative care models, including telehealth and pragmatic clinical interventions that improve access, outcomes, and patient experience. Through collaboration with clinicians, patients, and health system leaders, Dr. Minick seeks to advance rehabilitation services that are effective, equitable, and sustainable.

Outside of work, Dr. Minick enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and making the most of family adventures with her two children.
