Dr. Karen Checketts is a licensed psychologist at St. George Psychiatry and Counseling Clinic with more than 20 years of experience in mental health. She works with adolescents and adults ages 13 and older, providing individual, couples, marriage, and family counseling in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Dr. Checketts' clinical interests include trauma, depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, and positive psychology. She also has a strong interest in psychological assessment and testing, with extensive experience administering and interpreting a wide range of assessments. Her approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to each individual's unique needs, values, and goals.
She particularly enjoys working with clients who are ready to honestly examine themselves and actively engage in the change process. Dr. Checketts believes that meaningful growth occurs through self-awareness, commitment, and the development of effective coping strategies. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is witnessing clients achieve personal growth and make lasting, positive changes in their lives.

Originally from Salt Lake City, Dr. Checketts enjoys reading, watching movies, walking her dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
