As an undergraduate, Kara studied Spanish and history while competing in cross-country and track at Belmont University in her hometown of Nashville, TN. After graduating, Kara followed her curiosities for travel, culture, and food by guiding active travel trips. Through her various experiences, she realized the alignment of her passions fit perfectly within a career in dietetics. Kara graduated from the University of Utah with a master's in nutrition and integrative physiology. She has experience in weight management, oncology, pediatrics, and diabetes, among other chronic diseases. Kara is working on a specialist certification in gerontological nutrition. She loves to cook, bake, trail run, mountain bike, and ski with her family in her free time.
