Justin M. King, MD

Dr. King is a head and neck surgeon who subspecializes in laryngology. In addition to treating the full spectrum of ear, nose and throat disorders, Dr. King has a special interest in helping patients of all ages with voice, swallowing, and airway disorders.

Dr. King specializes in minimally invasive treatment of head and neck diseases of the sinuses and larynx (voice box). His surgical expertise is helping singers and other professional voice users by performing endoscopic microlaryngeal procedures to remove common causes of hoarseness such as vocal fold nodules, polyps or cysts as well as laryngeal malignancies. He treats other disorders such as vocal cord paralysis, spasmodic dysphonia, respiratory papillomas, laryngeal reflux disease, chronic cough, and certain swallowing disorders.

In addition, Dr. King specializes in managing airway problems of the throat and trachea (windpipe). He has extensive training in endoscopic laser procedures to remove obstructing lesions in the upper airway.

Dr. King has a special interest in performing minimally invasive office-based procedures under local anesthesia. With the use of state of the art flexible endoscopes and videostroboscopy recording equipment, Dr. King is often able to assess and treat many problems right in the office. This includes injections for vocal cord paralysis, laryngeal Botox injections, office-based laser procedures, and non-sedated esophagoscopy. In select cases, Dr. King can perform minimally invasive sinus surgery with a technique called Balloon Sinuplasty.

Dr. King lives with his wife and two children in Superior, and in his off time you’ll find him hiking, backpacking or cycling.
