Julius Hain, MD

Julius Hain, MD, is a hospitalist at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. In his position, he works with people already admitted to the hospital. To those patients, he brings curiosity and careful thinking to every patient he sees. Board certified in internal medicine, he earned his undergraduate degrees in biology and German from Indiana University, completed medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine, and finished his residency training at the University of Utah.

Dr. Hain is especially drawn to complex cases — the medical mysteries that take time to work through. His philosophy of care centers on integrating current clinical research and best practices with daily professional judgment. He believes good care starts with knowing the whole person, so he takes time to learn not just a patient's medical history but also their social history and what matters most to them.

Originally from Germany and Indiana, Dr. Hain is fluent in German and welcomes the chance to care for patients in their native language. Outside of work, he enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, cooking, birding, and cheering on his Indiana Hoosiers.
