Joy S. Rodriguez, NP

Born in Hilo, Hawaii, Joy moved to Montana at a young age and has lived here ever since. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Montana – Bozeman. After graduation, Joy took a job working in the operating room and fell in love with trauma surgery. She spent the next 12 years working in the operating room. Joy decided to go back to school and obtained a master’s degree in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maryville in St. Louis. Her clinical interests include critical care post-op patient management, procedural excellence in the post-op care and evidence-based improvement of patient post-op outcomes all for cardiac surgery patients. Joy is passionate about lifelong learning and continually looking for new and improved ways to care for cardiac, thoracic and vascular patients.

When not working, Joy spends time with her family. They love watching movies, hanging out, traveling and exploring the state of Montana. Along with her husband, Joy’s free time is spent watching their two kids play sports including soccer, lacrosse, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. She also enjoys refinishing furniture and doing projects around the house.
