John S. Bratteli, MD

Dr. Bratteli was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota in 6th grade. He attended the University of North Dakota for both his undergraduate studies and his medical degree. After medical school, Dr. Bratteli completed a family medicine residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. In 2004, Dr. Bratteli moved to the Grand Junction/Fruita, Colorado area. He provided family medicine services including both outpatient practice, as well as OB and inpatient hospital care the first 10 years of his career, eventually transitioning to outpatient-only care. He then spent two years working in urgent care before deciding to explore other opportunities, leading him to a position in outpatient wound care and hyperbaric medicine at St. Mary's Hospital.

Dr. Bratteli and his wife (also a doctor) have two teenage children and three dogs. When he is not working, he enjoys golfing, camping, mountain biking, walking the dogs and taking on projects around the house.
