John M. Russell, MD

Dr. John Russell is a dedicated and compassionate internal medicine provider who practices as a hospitalist at Intermountain Medical in Murray. As a physician, he focuses on providing patient-centered care through open discussions and honesty. Dr. Russell's philosophy of care emphasizes nonjudgmental, compassionate treatment tailored to each individual's healthcare goals.

Originally from Tullahoma, Tennessee, he completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before earning his medical degree from UTHSC College of Medicine. Dr. Russell then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at UTHSC, and he is board-certified in Internal Medicine.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Russell enjoys climbing, hiking, camping, and skiing. He is committed to furthering the health and well-being of Utahns through his empathetic and calm approach to patient care.
