About John C. King
About The Provider
Nevada native John King, MD loves the miracle and mystery of development, watching children learn and interact with their environment. Developmental Pediatrics recognizes the complexity of human development that is affected by our brain, our body, our family, and our environment. It recognizes that a team of diverse experts including parents - are necessary to improve our development. Dr. King cares for all types of neurodevelopmental disorders, especially autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
A self-proclaimed "big kid", Dr. King loves to geek out about Marvel superheroes and Firefly and Star Trek. You will often find him down on the floor, playing with toys with children, talking about superheroes, and being a kid. What he loves most about Developmental Pediatrics is the opportunity to play with children! And the opportunity to work with great teams and wonderful families.
"We are a team - the child, the family, the other healthcare providers, the therapists, and the teachers. The child and the family are at the center of that team. I believe that we are all made in the image of God. Every child is a child of God, and deserves to be treated as such."
Dr. King attended medical school at University of Southern California, and served with the U.S. Navy. He has lived in a number of places including Okinawa, Japan, Seattle, and San Diego. Dr. King and his wife own Morgan horses and enjoy trail rides. They were drawn to Montana for the beautiful country, friendly culture and seeing God’s creation. You may also find Dr. King riding road and mountain bikes, and fly-fishing.
