Joe Hermes, LAC

Joe Hermes' is credentialed as a  Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), 

Joe Hermes is originally from Scandia Minnesota. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Psychology From The University of Minnesota Duluth, followed by his Masters degree in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies in Center City Minnesota. Following his education Joe moved to Kalispell Montana and worked as an addiction counselor at Wilderness Treatment Center from 2012 -2018. Joe then relocated to Frutia and worked for 15 months at Mesa County corrections as an addiction counselor at Summit view treatment center. For the last 4 years Joe has worked at Jaywalker Lodge Treatment center in Carbondale Colorado working as the Outpatient / Sober living program supervisor.

I believe that clients can recover from addiction and live a life of Joy, Abundance, and Meaning. However it takes courage to honestly and openly face our past pain, trauma, and choices to learn from them and live a life in recovery. As an addiction Counselor it is my goal to establish a therapeutic alliance as a foundation of trust so we can work at healing your past and learn how to live a life of recovery.

As an addiction Counselor Joe Hermes enjoys helping clients heal from their past and live a life of recovery. He is passionate about helping clients find their passion in recovery and pursue the dreams that have been put on hold from addiction. When he is not at work, Joe Hermes enjoys downhill skiing, hiking, and walking with his wife and two energetic golden doodles.
