Joanne Lin, MD

Joanne Lin, MD, is an endocrinologist at Intermountain Health's Cottonwood Medical Clinic - Endocrinology and Diabetes in Murray, Utah, who enjoys caring for patients across the full spectrum of endocrinology. What she finds most rewarding is getting to know her patients, helping them understand their condition, and working together to find treatment plans that fit their goals and lifestyle.

Dr. Lin's philosophy of care is lead by a quote by Hippocrates: "Wherever the art of Medicine is loved, there is also a love of Humanity." She believes medicine is a balance of science and humanity. Her goal is to provide evidence-based care while taking the time to listen, answer questions, and understand what matters most to each patient. Her clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disease, lipid disorders, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and gender-affirming care for transgender and gender-diverse individuals.

Dr. Lin grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, before moving to the United States at age 12. Since then, she has called many parts of the country home, from the Midwest to the East and West coasts. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her partner and their cat, exploring Utah's beautiful outdoors, and trying new activities, including snow sports in the winter.
