Meet Jason Coombs, DO, a physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physician at Intermountain Health's McKay-Dee Physical Medicine & Rehab in Ogden, Utah. He believes that movement is medicine. Dr. Coombs partners with his patients to improve their quality of life and help them function at their best.
Dr. Coombs especially enjoys caring for patients recovering from a stroke, living with an amputation, managing headaches, or dealing with musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. His clinical interests include spasticity management, amputee care, functional movement, and headache management. He provides stroke follow-up care and treats a wide range of musculoskeletal issues. He also performs electromyography (EMG) testing and many procedures, including:
- Botox injections for spasticity and dystonia
- Trigger point and joint injections
- Nerve blocks
- Headache injections
Dr. Coombs is from Sandy, Utah, and serves as a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve. He is a father of four. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, boating, and long walks on the beach.
