Jared B. Allan, NP

Jared Allan is an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner working as a hospitalist at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. He brings over nine years of nursing experience, caring for patients in many settings, from psychiatric and medical-surgical units to intensive care.

Jared started his nursing career as a psychiatric nurse at the Utah State Hospital. At the same time, he worked as a medical-surgical nurse at American Fork Hospital. There, he moved into telemetry, progressive care, and step-down intensive care roles. He later joined the Shock Trauma ICU at Intermountain Medical Center. In that unit, he built expertise in advanced life-saving treatments. These include ECMO (a machine that supports the heart and lungs), continuous dialysis for the kidneys, and emergency blood transfusions. He also served as a charge nurse and team lead.

Jared earned associate degrees in general academics and nursing from Utah Valley University, along with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. He then trained as a nurse practitioner at Graceland University in Iowa, where he specialized in adult-gerontology acute care.

Outside of work, Jared is the proud father of a wonderful 13-year-old daughter. Their two dogs, an Aussiedoodle and a beagle, keep them active. He enjoys the outdoors, soccer, and learning new skills, like building computers from scratch.
