Jan B. Goossens, MD

Jan Goossens, MD, is a hospital medicine physician at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. As a hospitalist, Dr. Goossens cares for patients throughout their hospital stay. He coordinates treatment, manages medications, and works with specialists, nurses, and patients’ primary care providers to keep their care connected. He's in the hospital every day — listening, answering questions, and making sure patients understand their plan of care from admission through discharge.

As a provider, Dr. Goossens believes in giving his patients the same care he would want for his own family. He explains each patient's health problem clearly and simply. He also walks them through how it will be treated, so they understand their care and feel confident about the next steps.
