James W. Thomas, MD

James Thomas, MD, is a board-certified neonatologist at Intermountain Health's McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He supports newborn patients in the NICU, dedicated to providing compassionate, expert care for newborns and their families. He is also clinically fluent in Spanish, allowing him to better serve Spanish-speaking families.

Dr. Thomas's clinical interests include global health projects and community health interventions for underserved communities. He especially enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care for every newborn in his care.

As a provider, he believes in providing compassionate care for newborns and their families. They can expect Dr. Thomas to deliver thoughtful, expert care for their infant while communicating clearly and openly every step of the way, so parents fully understand their child's treatment plan.

A Salt Lake City native, Dr. Thomas enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, and drawing.
