James Mason

James “Jimmy” Mason, DO specializes in Hematology Oncology at Intermountain Health’s Cancer Center at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He supports patients in Weber County, north Davis County, and surrounding areas, treating blood disorders such as leukemias, lymphomas, and myelodysplastic syndromes, finding it rewarding to help patients through their journeys with these conditions.

Dr. Mason’s philosophy of care surrounds the practice of building trusting relationships with patients, educating them, and making decisions collaboratively to empower them in their healthcare journey. Potential patients should know that he takes his role as their physician very seriously and strives to continually learn and advance his understanding to better educate and treat his patients. He looks forward to broadening his practice in his hometown.

Outside of work, the Layton native and his wife enjoy keeping up with their five children, playing sports, hiking, climbing, and biking. He spent two years in Taiwan and still enjoys learning and practicing Mandarin and Chinese calligraphy.
