Huri Guadarrama, NP

Huri “Pierre” Guadarrama, NP, is a nurse practitioner at the Urological Institute – St. George, dedicated to helping patients understand their health and feel confident in their treatment decisions. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Pierre is passionate about delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse community.

Pierre’s clinical interests include prostate and bladder cancers, men’s health, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and the ongoing development of his skills as a surgical first assistant. He particularly enjoys participating in complex urologic procedures, including robotic prostatectomy, robotic sacrocolpopexy, and nephrectomy. He also finds great fulfillment in guiding patients through prostate cancer diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term management plans.

His philosophy of care is rooted in the belief that “empowerment through knowledge is key.” Pierre believes that patient care extends beyond treating a diagnosis—it involves educating individuals about their condition, helping them understand their options, and partnering with them to make informed health decisions. He values the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and considers education one of the most important aspects of his role.

Pierre thoroughly enjoys working in urology and is committed to helping patients navigate routine and complex urologic conditions with confidence and clarity. Whether assisting in surgery or providing clinical care, he strives to provide personalized support and evidence-based treatment every step of the way.

While Pierre is passionate about caring for patients, his greatest joy comes from time with his wife and children. Outside of work, he loves spending time outdoors, including hiking, mountain biking, visiting the lake, and playing basketball and volleyball with his daughters. He also cherishes teaching his son to ride a bike and creating lasting memories with his family through shared adventures and active living.
